This notice applies to this website and its contact, material, investor and job-application forms. It does not apply to websites or services operated by third parties that are linked from this website.
Website operation
When you visit this website, the server and delivery providers necessarily process technical information such as your IP address, browser/device information, requested pages, date and time, and basic server log data. This is required to deliver the website, maintain its security and diagnose technical faults. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
The final hosting provider and any associated infrastructure providers must be confirmed and listed here before the website is published. The current prototype loads the homepage film from a Webflow-hosted content-delivery address; when that film is requested, the relevant delivery provider receives the technical data needed to deliver it, including your IP address. Before launch, Carbon Cleanup will confirm the applicable provider terms, processing arrangements and any safeguards for transfers outside the EEA.
Inquiries, applications and email
If you send us an inquiry by email or submit a website form, we process the information you provide to answer your request, prepare or perform a business relationship, and protect our communication systems from misuse. Depending on the form, this can include your name, company, work email, phone number, message, material or process details, volume information, role and an optional CV or portfolio link.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and otherwise our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries and applications (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Please do not submit special-category personal data through the forms.
When live form delivery is enabled, requests are routed through a Google Workspace Apps Script email relay to the relevant Carbon Cleanup inbox. The form relay uses fixed internal recipient routes, does not accept file uploads and is designed not to create a submission database. Google and the selected hosting provider may process data as technical service providers. We keep inquiry and application data only for as long as needed to handle the request and meet applicable retention or legal-obligation requirements.
Your rights and complaints
Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data, restriction of processing, data portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time with effect for the future.
You may contact us at office@carbon-cleanup.com to exercise these rights. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority: dsb.gv.at.
We do not use the information collected through this website for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
