Privacy Policy

Carbon Cleanup GmbH (hereinafter referred to as “we”) values your visit to our website and is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws. We treat any personal information collected during your visit confidentially and use it only for the purposes of website administration, customer management, and responding to inquiries, strictly to the extent necessary. When you contact us via email, the data you provide is transmitted to a Carbon Cleanup email address; additionally, technical information such as IP address, requested URL, and log data is automatically collected during your visit. This information may also be used internally to optimize our website. For technical reasons, your IP address is transmitted with each request so that the server can deliver responses; internet service providers (ISPs) are legally required to log which IP address was assigned to which user and when.

Cookies

We use so-called "cookies" to enhance your experience on our website. Cookies are small text files stored by your internet browser on your device when visiting a website. Most of the cookies we use are "session cookies", which are temporary, pose no harm to your device, contain no viruses, and cannot be linked to individual users. These cookies are used to manage session-related functions such as keeping you logged in during your visit and are deleted once you leave our site. In addition, we use a limited number of "persistent cookies" to recognize returning visitors and analyze user behavior in an anonymized form, with a maximum storage period of 6 months (up to 12 months in combination with Tealium). By using our website, you consent to the use and storage of cookies. While most browsers accept cookies automatically, you can modify your browser settings to block or delete cookies at any time; please refer to your browser’s help function for instructions. Please note that disabling cookies may limit some functionalities of our website. Our website may also contain content or services from third parties (e.g., YouTube, Facebook, Twitter), which may use their own cookies—we have no control over how these providers process your data. You can object to cookie usage by third-party partners on their respective opt-out pages, including those for Google AdWords, Google Remarketing, and DoubleClick. This website also uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service by Google Inc. (“Google”), which uses cookies to help analyze website usage. The information generated by these cookies is usually transmitted to and stored on Google servers in the USA. However, within the EU or EEA, your IP address is anonymized before transmission. Only in rare cases will the full IP address be transmitted and shortened in the US. Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate website usage, compile activity reports, and provide related services. The IP address transmitted via Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You can prevent data collection via cookies by adjusting your browser settings or by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en. We also use Google Analytics in conjunction with the DoubleClick cookie for statistical purposes; this can be disabled via Google Ads Preferences: http://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/?hl=en. Furthermore, we use Google AdWords for conversion tracking. When you click on a Google ad and land on our site, a conversion cookie is stored on your device for 30 days to track ad performance—these cookies are not used for personal identification. If the cookie is still active when visiting certain pages, Google and we can determine that the ad was clicked. Each advertiser receives a different cookie, preventing cross-site tracking. You can disable this tracking by deactivating cookies from the domain “googleadservices.com” in your browser settings. Additionally, we use Google Maps to display our locations; this integration may transmit data, including your IP address, to Google. For more information on how Google processes personal data, please refer to their privacy policy: https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/.
